The Barn Shed began with a lifelong love of flowers, creativity and homes filled with character.

From working in a florist at a young age, to restoring our own family barn in the Yorkshire countryside, creating beautiful spaces has always felt natural to us. What started as painting furniture in a garage slowly grew into something more — a workshop, a creative outlet, and eventually a business.

In 2022, The Barn Shed officially opened online, followed by artisan fairs and then our own studio space just outside Beverley.

But over time, something shifted.

Life has a way of gently reshaping what matters most. Through personal challenges and changing seasons as a family, we found ourselves drawn more deeply toward slow living, intentional homes, and the quiet power of creating things by hand.

And so the brand evolved with us.

Today, The Barn Shed is a family-run studio dedicated to thoughtful interiors, nature-inspired pieces and handcrafted collections designed to bring calm, warmth and meaning into your home.

Every candle is poured by us.
Every flower arrangement is hand-tied.
Every piece of furniture is restored and painted individually.
Every detail is chosen with care.

We don’t believe in fast interiors or mass-produced homes.
